Privacy policy

Scope

Drive Sync is a private desktop utility used by its owner. It is not offered as a public service and does not provide public user accounts.

Google data accessed

The utility requests read-only Google Drive access. It may read file names, folder structure, file metadata, checksums, and file contents from locations the authorizing Google account can access.

Purpose of access

Google data is used only to identify missing files and create verified archival copies on storage controlled by the owner. The utility does not modify or delete files in Google Drive.

Storage and sharing

OAuth credentials are stored in the local rclone configuration on the owner's computer. Downloaded files are stored only on systems controlled by the owner. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or shared with third parties. This informational website does not collect or process Google user data.

Retention and deletion

Local archival copies remain until the owner deletes them. Access can be revoked at any time from the Google Account security settings, and the local OAuth configuration can be removed from rclone.

Policy changes

This policy will be updated if the utility's use of Google user data changes.
